About

About Resumello

Resumello is an ATS-friendly resume builder for people who want a professional resume without a subscription. It includes 18 recruiter-reviewed templates, a built-in ATS score checker that grades your resume against a real job description, and one-click export to PDF and Word. You pay once and keep access for life. There is no monthly billing and no auto-renewal.

What Resumello actually does

At its core, Resumello helps you build a resume that survives the software recruiters use before a human ever sees it. You pick from 18 templates designed to parse cleanly, fill in your experience, and run the built-in ATS checker to see how well your resume matches a specific job posting. When it is ready, you export to PDF or Word in one click.

Two of those tools are free and require no account: the ATS checker and the keyword scanner. Both run entirely in your browser, so the resume and job description you paste never leave your device.

Why I built it

I needed a resume builder. Every option was either a subscription trap that charged me monthly for something I would use twice a year, or a free tool so limited it was not worth the effort. So I built one for myself, my wife, and my cousin: something professional, something that actually passed ATS systems, and something we could pay for once and never think about again.

Resumello is that tool. It is not backed by venture capital. There is no growth team engineering dark patterns to maximize your monthly spend. It is a good product at a fair price, and the business works because enough people find that refreshing.

Who builds Resumello

Kashyap

Engineer and indie maker of Resumello

Resumello is built and maintained by one person. I write the code, design the templates, tune the ATS scoring, and answer the support email at [email protected]. When something breaks or a recruiter flags a parsing issue, it reaches the person who can fix it that week, not a queue. That is the upside of staying small on purpose.

What makes Resumello different

One-time pricing, on purpose

Most resume builders charge $20 to $40 every month and rely on people forgetting to cancel. Resumello costs $19.99 once and never bills you again. The business is designed around a fair price, not around trapping you in a renewal you forgot about.

Privacy-first free tools

The ATS checker and keyword scanner run in your browser. Your resume and the job posting you paste stay on your device. There is no upload, no account requirement, and nothing to delete afterward because nothing left your machine.

Built for the systems that actually read your resume

Every template is structured to parse cleanly in applicant tracking systems, and the built-in ATS score grades your resume against a real job description so you can see what a recruiter's software will and will not pick up.

Honest about the competition

The comparison pages name where other tools genuinely win, not just where Resumello does. The goal is to help you pick the right tool, which sometimes means pointing you elsewhere. That only works if the information is straight.

How Resumello stays alive

Resumello is funded entirely by one-time purchases. There are no investors expecting recurring revenue, no advertising, and no selling of your data to third parties. When you pay for lifetime access, that is the transaction in full. It keeps the lights on and pays for ongoing development, including the features still on the roadmap.

Being independent means the incentives line up with yours. There is no reason to make canceling hard, because there is nothing to cancel. The only way the business grows is by being genuinely worth recommending.
